We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Web Developer to join our creative team at Pencil Bitz. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building high-quality user interfaces, maintaining existing web assets, and ensuring that all technical tasks are executed with precision and speed. You will play a key role in bridging the gap between design and technology.
Development And Implementation
The candidate will have responsibilities across the following functions:
- Transform design mockups into functional, responsive web pages using Tailwind CSS and JavaScript.
- Develop and manage server-side logic using PHP.
- Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
Website Maintenance And Optimisation
- Perform regular Website Maintenance, including bug fixes, security patches, and plugin updates.
- Monitor website performance and optimise for maximum speed and scalability across all devices.
- Identify and troubleshoot site-wide errors or broken links promptly.
Workflow And Task Management
- Daily Task Execution: Strong commitment to finishing assigned "Day-by-Day" tasks on schedule without compromising quality.
- Collaborate with the editorial and marketing teams to upload new content (e. g., Book, Event details, Career updates).
- Maintain clear documentation of code and version control.
Requirements
- Experience: 0-1 years of professional web development experience (preferred).
- Portfolio: A strong portfolio demonstrating projects built with HTML, CSS, and JS.
- Soft Skills: Excellent time management, a "get-it-done" attitude, and the ability to work independently.
Technical Skill Set
Core Proficiencies (Required):
- HTML5 and CSS3 Expert knowledge in structuring clean, semantic code and styling complex layouts.
- JavaScript (ES6+): Strong ability to implement interactive features and handle asynchronous data.
- Tailwind CSS: Proficiency in utility-first CSS to build rapid, responsive custom UI components.
- PHP: Solid understanding of server-side logic to manage dynamic content and backend integrations.
Competitive Advantages (Bonus Skills)
- Modern Frameworks: Hands-on experience with React.js and Next.js for building scalable, high-performance web applications.
- Design Tools: Ability to use Canva (or Figma/Adobe Suite) to tweak assets, create social media graphics, or mock up UI elements.
