Role Overview
MadeOddly is looking for an experienced Shopify developer to collaborate on a long-term freelance basis.
You’ll work on ecommerce projects (white-label), taking full ownership of the technical side—from setup to final launch.
Key Responsibilities
* Handle end-to-end Shopify development
* Customize themes or build stores from scratch
* Set up headless Shopify (when needed)
* Integrate and configure apps
* Optimize site performance and scalability
* Deliver production-ready ecommerce stores
* Communicate clearly with the team on technical decisions
Technical Approach
You’ll have flexibility in choosing how to build projects, including:
* Classic Shopify themes
* Headless setups (Hydrogen or custom builds)
You’re expected to choose what works best based on performance, feasibility, and project scope.
Design Collaboration
* Work with designs from Figma, Framer, or project assets
* Deliver pixel-perfect implementation
* Flag UX or technical issues early
* Suggest improvements when needed, but stay execution-focused
Workflow & Communication
Tools:
* WhatsApp → daily communication
* Notion → tracking and documentation
Expectations:
* Daily updates during active work phases
* Regular syncs based on project needs
* Proper documentation at project completion (code + setup handover)
Requirements
* Strong hands-on experience with Shopify (beyond basic themes)
* Proven ability to build high-performing, live ecommerce stores
* Ability to work independently and take ownership
* Clear and reliable communication
* Portfolio of at least 4–5 real Shopify projects
