About The Role
As part of the Technology & Operations team, the Web Developer will be responsible for developing cutting-edge functionality for new or existing enterprise web applications. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions that support our operational and business objectives. The Web Developer will play a critical role in designing, coding, testing, and maintaining web applications, ensuring they meet performance, security, and usability standards. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a dynamic environment, contributing to the continuous improvement of our digital infrastructure.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 2 years of hands-on full-stack development experience, particularly with frameworks such as React, Laravel, and React Native. A strong understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and related web and mobile development technologies is essential. Experience with databases, code versioning tools like Git or SVN, and web server management (e.g., Apache, Nginx) is required. Candidates should have a fundamental understanding of software development lifecycles, UI/UX best practices, and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or DigitalOcean. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field, along with knowledge of OCR frameworks, is preferred. The candidate must demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the willingness to relocate to Dubai or Oman after the probation period, approximately 12 months. Familiarity with logistics workflows, depot operations, and experience working with regional stakeholders in Hindi or Arabic will be advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Develop, automate, and maintain web applications and services to support business and operational goals while adhering to performance and quality code best practices.
- Collaborate with team leads and members to gather requirements, define project scope, and ensure deadlines and objectives are met.
- Work closely with UI/UX teams to ensure design consistency and optimal user experience across applications.
- Document product specifications, technical details, and project progress to facilitate knowledge sharing and future enhancements.
- Stay informed about emerging web development trends, tools, and technologies to continuously improve skills and application quality.
- Engage with operational teams, including yard staff, logistics, and accounts, to understand their needs and tailor solutions accordingly.
- Participate in testing, debugging, and resolving issues to ensure the stability and security of web applications.
- Assist in the deployment and integration of new features, ensuring seamless performance across platforms.
