About The Role
As part of the Technology & Operations team, the Web Developer will be responsible for developing cutting-edge functionality for new or existing enterprise web applications. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to create seamless, efficient, and innovative web solutions that support our operational and business objectives. The Web Developer will play a key role in translating business requirements into technical solutions, ensuring high performance, security, and usability of our web platforms. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on impactful projects within a dynamic logistics environment, with potential for relocation to Dubai or Oman after the initial probation period.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of hands-on full-stack development experience using React, Laravel, React Native, HTML, CSS, and related JavaScript/PHP frameworks.
- Proficiency with databases and code versioning tools such as Git or SVN.
- Experience with web server environments like Apache or Nginx.
- Strong problem-solving skills, particularly in operational environments.
- Fundamental understanding of software development lifecycles and UI/UX best practices.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or DigitalOcean.
- Understanding of system testing and automated testing processes is advantageous.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent working experience in a related field.
- Familiarity with OCR frameworks is a plus.
- Willingness to relocate to Dubai or Oman after the probation period (approximately 12 months) if required.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with onsite depot/yard operations, logistics, and accounts teams.
- Interest in software development, automation, artificial intelligence, and research to solve complex business problems.
- Adaptability to the Middle East working environment and cultural considerations.
Responsibilities
- Develop, automate, and maintain web applications and services that support business and operational goals, adhering to best practices for performance and code quality.
- Work closely with team leads and members to gather requirements, define project scope, and ensure timely delivery of solutions.
- Collaborate with UI/UX teams to ensure consistency in design and user experience across platforms.
- Document product specifications, development processes, and project information for future reference and team knowledge sharing.
- Stay updated on emerging web development trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously enhance skills and project quality.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes to ensure robust and secure applications.
- Engage with operational teams to understand their needs and tailor web solutions that facilitate smoother workflows.
- Contribute to research and development initiatives related to automation, AI, and OCR technologies to enhance operational efficiency.
