About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Analytics Specialist to join our dynamic marketing and data team. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing, managing, and optimizing digital analytics tools and tracking solutions across our digital platforms. Your expertise will help us gather valuable insights into user behavior, campaign performance, and overall digital engagement, enabling data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of analytics implementation, technical tracking, and data analysis, working closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, engineering, and product management to ensure accurate and comprehensive data collection. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to Takeda's digital transformation initiatives and enhance our understanding of customer interactions across multiple channels.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or related field required.
- 5+ years of experience in digital analytics implementation and tracking.
- Hands-on expertise with:
- Google Analytics 4 (GA4)
- Google Tag Manager (GTM)
- Experience partnering with engineering (front-end/back-end) to implement data Layer and tracking requirements.
- Pixels and CAPI Implementation
- Strong understanding of event-based tracking, parameters, user properties, conversions, cross-domain tracking, and consent mode.
- Strong Understanding of naming conventions, versioning, environments (dev/QA/prod), release process, rollback.
- Strong Understanding on GTM Preview, GA4 Debug View, Chrome DevTools, Tag Assistant.
- Ability to independently manage and resolve all incoming Analytics requests, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and coordinate with vendors to troubleshoot and address issues.
- Experience working with JavaScript and HTML for tag implementation and debugging.
- Strong expertise in GA4 reporting, monitoring, and performance analysis.
- Knowledge of APIs and data integration techniques.
- Experience with SQL for data validation and analysis.
- Strong understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript fundamentals).
- Experience working within Agile environments.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical tracking solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Demonstrate ability to interpret and work with data (e.g., dashboards, reports, data quality concepts) and understanding of AI/ML fundamentals to adapt to emerging technology trends, identify opportunities for intelligent automation/insights and make data-informed decisions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
The Digital Analytics Specialist will be responsible for implementing and maintaining robust analytics tracking systems across all digital touchpoints. Key responsibilities include:
- Design, develop, and implement tracking solutions using Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, Pixels, and CAPI to capture user interactions and conversion data accurately.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to develop and maintain data Layer structures, ensuring seamless data collection aligned with business goals.
- Configure and manage event tracking, user properties, and custom dimensions to support detailed analysis and reporting.
- Monitor and troubleshoot tracking implementations, resolving issues promptly to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
- Develop and maintain documentation for tracking standards, naming conventions, and deployment procedures.
- Perform regular audits of analytics data, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective actions to maintain high data quality.
- Assist in the development of dashboards and reports to visualize key performance indicators and insights for stakeholders.
- Work closely with marketing and product teams to translate business objectives into effective technical tracking solutions.
- Stay informed about the latest trends and updates in digital analytics, AI/ML, and related technologies, recommending innovative approaches for data collection and analysis.
- Support data integration efforts using APIs and SQL, enabling comprehensive analysis across platforms and systems.
- Participate in Agile sprint planning, stand-ups, and review sessions to ensure timely delivery of analytics projects.
