About The Role
We are seeking a talented and motivated Web Developer to join our Technology & Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing enterprise web applications that support our business and operational objectives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including UI/UX designers, operations staff, and regional stakeholders to deliver seamless digital solutions that improve efficiency and user experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in full-stack web development, a passion for innovation, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
This is a full-time offshore position initially based in India, with opportunities for relocation to Dubai or Oman after successful completion of the probation period, which is approximately 12 months. The role offers an exciting chance to contribute to a global logistics leader while gaining valuable experience in a dynamic industry setting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on full-stack development experience, particularly with React, Laravel, React Native, HTML, CSS, and related JavaScript/PHP frameworks.
- Proficiency with databases, web server management (e.g., Apache, Nginx), and code versioning tools such as Git or SVN.
- Strong problem-solving skills within operational environments.
- Fundamental understanding of software development lifecycle and UI/UX best practices.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, cloud services (AWS, Azure, DigitalOcean), and system testing is advantageous.
- Ability to work proactively, collaborate effectively with team members, and meet project deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise with yard staff, operations, and accounts teams.
- Interest in software development, automation, artificial intelligence, and research to solve complex business challenges.
- Familiarity with OCR frameworks is a plus.
- Willingness to relocate to Dubai or Oman after the probation period if required.
- Adaptability to Middle Eastern work environments and onsite collaboration with depot, yard, logistics, and accounts teams.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, automate, and maintain web applications and services aligned with business and operational needs.
- Ensure applications adhere to performance standards and follow best coding practices for quality and security.
- Collaborate with team leads and members to gather requirements, define project scope, and ensure timely delivery of solutions.
- Work closely with UI/UX teams to ensure design consistency and optimal user experience.
- Document product specifications, technical procedures, and project updates comprehensively.
- Stay informed about emerging trends and technologies in web development to continuously improve skills and solutions.
- Participate in system testing, automated testing, and deployment processes to ensure reliable application performance.
- Engage with operational teams to understand their workflows and integrate solutions that enhance productivity.
- Perform research and troubleshooting to resolve technical issues independently and efficiently.
