About The Role
We are seeking a talented and motivated Web Developer to join our Technology & Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing enterprise web applications that support our operational and business objectives. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in full-stack development, with experience in modern frameworks and technologies such as React, Laravel, and related tools. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge solutions that directly impact our logistics operations across multiple regions. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with UI/UX designers, project managers, and operational teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and efficient web applications. Additionally, the role involves staying abreast of emerging web development trends and applying innovative techniques to improve system performance and user experience.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in full-stack web development, particularly with React, Laravel, React Native, HTML, CSS, and related JavaScript/PHP frameworks. Familiarity with databases, version control tools such as Git or SVN, and web server environments like Apache or Nginx is essential. A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent qualification, along with relevant work experience, is required. Candidates should demonstrate strong problem-solving skills within operational environments and possess a solid understanding of the software development lifecycle. Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or DigitalOcean, and system testing—automated testing experience is a plus—are highly desirable. Familiarity with OCR frameworks and a keen interest in automation, artificial intelligence, and research to solve complex business challenges will be advantageous. Candidates must also be adaptable to working in a Middle Eastern environment and willing to relocate to Dubai or Oman after the probation period, approximately 12 months.
Responsibilities
- Develop, automate, and maintain web applications and services that support our business and operational objectives, ensuring adherence to best practices for performance and code quality.
- Collaborate with team leads and members to gather requirements, define project scope, and ensure timely delivery of solutions.
- Work closely with UI/UX teams to guarantee consistency and excellence in design and user experience.
- Document product specifications, project progress, and technical details to facilitate knowledge sharing and future development.
- Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in web development, applying relevant innovations to improve system functionality and performance.
- Engage with operational teams, including yard staff, logistics, and accounts, to understand their needs and tailor solutions accordingly.
- Participate in system testing, troubleshooting, and resolving issues independently to ensure seamless operation.
- Contribute to automation initiatives and research projects aimed at enhancing operational efficiency through artificial intelligence and other advanced technologies.
