About the role

As a Repair & Maintenance Technician at Weatherford, you'll perform hands-on maintenance and repair of field tools and equipment. You'll be responsible for the complete maintenance cycle - from receiving tools, dismantling, repairing, and refurbishing them according to technical specifications to prepare them for their next assignment.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in daily safety meetings and promptly report any issues
  • Maintain equipment, facilities, and work areas in safe condition
  • Repair and maintain tools and equipment using precision measuring instruments and testing devices
  • Inspect parts using measuring tools to determine dimensional requirements
  • Follow maintenance procedures for tool handling: unloading, disassembly, cleaning, testing, painting, assembly, and storage
  • Complete all required documentation and work orders accurately
  • Operate lifting equipment, forklifts, and other machinery safely (certification required)
  • Process incoming and outgoing shipments with proper documentation
  • Support LEAN initiatives and continuous improvement programs
  • Lead maintenance teams and troubleshoot complex equipment issues
  • Implement corrective actions and ensure compliance with procedures
  • Conduct root cause analysis for equipment failures
  • Schedule and distribute work assignments
  • Evaluate quality and efficiency of work being performed

 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • 2 -4 years of experience in Oil & Gas industry 
  • Basic computer skills
  • Basic mathematics skills
  • Ability to work with hazardous materials safely
  • Good reading, writing, and problem-solving skills
  • Physical capability to perform required tasks
  • Time management and quality control skills

 

Work Environment

You'll work in a workshop environment handling tools and equipment, sometimes working with hazardous materials, radioactive elements, under strict safety protocols.
