Role Description The Wealth Manager role at SMIFS Limited is a full-time, on-site position based in Mumbai. The Wealth Manager will be responsible for advising clients on their overall financial and investment strategy, including portfolio construction, asset allocation, and risk management. Day-to-day responsibilities include assessing client goals and risk profiles, recommending investment products and insurance solutions, monitoring portfolio performance, and conducting periodic reviews to ensure alignment with changing needs. The role involves developing new client relationships, deepening existing ones, and coordinating with internal research, product, and operations teams to deliver customized, high-quality solutions. The Wealth Manager will be expected to maintain strong compliance standards and keep up to date with market trends, regulations, and product developments.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Financial Planning, including goal-based planning, retirement planning, and tax-efficient strategies.
- Candidates should possess robust skills in Investment Management and Investments, with the ability to analyze asset classes, construct portfolios, and review performance.
- Candidates should possess solid knowledge of Finance, including capital markets, risk assessment, and basic accounting or financial analysis.
- Candidates should possess working knowledge of Insurance solutions, including life, health, and general insurance for comprehensive client protection.
- Candidates should ideally have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust-based, long-term client relationships.
- Candidates should ideally have strong analytical and quantitative abilities, proficiency with MS Excel and financial tools, and attention to detail.
- A bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field is preferred; relevant certifications such as CFP, CFA, NISM or IRDAI licenses are an advantage.
- Prior experience in wealth management, private banking, or financial advisory, along with familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements, will be beneficial.
