Job details:
The Sales Wealth Counselor (Unlisted Equities) is responsible for driving wealth creation by guiding clients through the high-growth landscape of Pre-IPO and Unlisted Shares. Unlike traditional markets, this role requires a deep understanding of private valuations, cap tables, and the ability to explain the risk-reward ratio of illiquid assets.
The successful candidate will spend a significant portion of their day engaging with High Net Worth Individuals (HNIs) and retail investors, using exceptional communication skills to simplify complex private market narratives into compelling investment opportunities.
Core Responsibilities- Strategic Outreach: Manage and execute a high volume of daily interactions with existing and potential customers, focusing on the unique value proposition of the unlisted space.
- Product Fitment: Analyze client portfolios to identify how unlisted shares and Pre-IPO opportunities can hedge or enhance their overall equity returns.
- Sales Pipeline Management: Rigorously plan daily follow-ups and fresh lead outreach based on the sales funnel, deal timelines, and liquidity events.
- Market Intel: Maintain a "student of the market" mindset, staying updated on Venture Capital trends, SEBI regulations for unlisted shares, and upcoming IPO filings (DRHPs).
- Conversion & Reporting: Proactively follow up on leads assigned by the Sales Head, providing detailed progress reports and mitigation strategies to bridge any performance gaps.
- Knowledge Leadership: Contribute to the team by sharing insights on specific private companies, sector rotations, and best practices in objection handling for illiquid assets.
Key Competencies- Persuasion & Clarity: Ability to articulate the "long-term play" and handle objections regarding lock-in periods and valuation premiums.
- Analytical Skills: Comfortable discussing company financials, funding rounds, and peer-group comparisons between listed and unlisted entities.
- Discipline: A self-starter capable of managing their own call schedules to consistently meet or exceed monthly AUM (Assets Under Management) targets.
Requirements- Education: Graduate (Mandatory). Finance/Economics background preferred.
- Experience: 2–5 years in a sales environment, ideally within Wealth Management, Stock Broking, or Private Equity.
- Linguistic Proficiency: Fluency in English, Hindi, and at least one regional language.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication; a professional "telephone personality" is critical.
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of the IPO process, dematerialization of shares, and transfer of unlisted securities.
- Certifications: NISM Series VIII (Equity Derivatives) or Series X-A/B (Investment Adviser) highly preferred.
- Commitment: High degree of accuracy in documentation and a willingness to work flexible hours to align with client availability or urgent deal closings.
