At Himveda Foods, we believe the best food in India isn't found in a factory — it's found on a Himalayan hillside, in a farmer's basket of hand-picked seabuckthorn, in a jar of golden desi ghee churned the traditional way from milk of desi cows grazing on hilly pastures.
We're a young startup on a mission to bring real, organic, and natural food — the kind our grandparents grew up on — from the Himalayas straight to Indian homes. And we're growing our roots deeper into Ladakh and Lahaul-Spiti, two regions that give us some of our most special produce: seabuckthorn, sun-dried fruits, pure desi ghee, and other traditional mountain foods.
To do that well, we need people who already know this land -its seasons, its people, its rhythms. That's where you come in.
The Role
This is a work-from-home role built around real, on-ground connection - regular visits to farms, harvesters, and small producers across your region. You'll be Himveda's local face and voice, building trust with the people who grow and make what we sell, and helping us source with honesty and care.
What You'll Do
- Build genuine relationships with local farmers, seabuckthorn harvesters, ghee producers, and small organic food makers
- Coordinate sourcing and supply timelines directly with local producers
- Visit farms and small production units to check quality and harvest readiness
- Be the trusted link between your community and the Himveda team
- Help us discover and onboard new local partners as we grow
Who We're Looking For
- Based in, or deeply connected to, Ladakh or Lahaul-Spiti
- Someone who understands the local language, culture, and farming seasons - because relationships here are built on trust, not just transactions
- Comfortable traveling within your region for farm visits
- Clear communicator, comfortable coordinating remotely with our core team
- Experience in agriculture, sourcing, or community work is a bonus - but genuine local roots matter more to us
