Job details:
ISPACEI Satellite and Research Pvt. Ltd. is an integrated space-systems company — concept to orbit and beyond, across spacecraft, deployers, ground stations and mission payloads. Our core strength is systems integration, delivered to specifications. We are also growing the capability to originate and own missions in our own right.
Working with NSIL and IN-SPACe; GeM Defence Contractor; headquartered in Bengaluru and mentored by the Indian Technology Congress Association.
What we build:
— CubeSat and SmallSat platforms
— Orbital deployers
— Ground stations
— Mission payloads (optical, RF, IoT, scientific)
Flagship programme: 75 Students' Satellites Missions (75SSM) — successive batches of CubeSat constellations, with the first batch currently in build.
Our engineering practice runs on a pragmatic mix of open-source and proprietary tooling, chosen per task. Engineers comfortable across both are valued.
Open roles — positions exist at all levels; designations will be assigned based on years of experience and expertise. Internship positions are also open.
— Embedded / Avionics Firmware Engineer: STM32-class microcontrollers, FreeRTOS or bare-metal architectures, OBC / EPS / ADCS firmware, GNSS receiver integration, low-power design, in-system debug.
— Hardware Engineer: schematic capture and multi-layer PCB layout for OBC, EPS, ADCS and RF boards; component selection and de-rating; signal and power integrity; EMI-aware layout; DFM / DFT.
— RF Engineer: UHF / S-band link design, Doppler characterisation, bring-up across a range of transceivers including LoRa-based radios, IARU coordination, antenna design, and ground-station design (RF chain, rotator control, SDR and gateway integration, link operations).
— Mechanical Engineer (Structures, Thermals & Mechanisms): CubeSat structural and mechanism design, finite-element analysis, vibration / shock / random qualification, mass-property analysis, satellite thermal control, GD&T-compliant drafting to ASME Y14.5 or ISO equivalents, DFM / DFA.
— Payload Engineer (Mission Payloads): concept design and integration of optical / imaging, RF / SDR, communications transponder, IoT / AIS / ADS-B, and scientific payloads; sensor and optics selection; FPGA / SoC-based payload data handling; payload-to-bus interface definition; on-orbit commissioning support.
— Systems Engineer (Space Systems): mission planning, orbital simulation, ConOps, constellation geometry, eclipse and link-availability analysis, requirements management to INCOSE practice.
— AIT Engineer (Assembly, Integration & Test): spacecraft assembly and integration, harness build, payload integration, GSE specification, subsystem and system-level functional testing, cleanroom AIT discipline.
— Mission Assurance & Environmental Test Engineer: thermal-vacuum, vibration, shock and EMI / EMC qualification campaigns at NABL-accredited laboratories; FMECA and reliability assessment; mission assurance documentation aligned with ECSS standards.
We are particularly keen to hear from engineers with hands-on structural and thermal analysis experience and GD&T-compliant drafting practice. If that describes you, please highlight it on your application.
What the role offers: ownership of real flight hardware, end-to-end exposure from concept through orbit and beyond, and a team that takes engineering rigour seriously.
Applications, including a current CV and a brief statement of interest, may be sent to
srinivasd@ispacei.in.
Students and recent graduates: please mark your application as an internship enquiry.
