Job Description – Java Developer (Core Java & Spring Boot)

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Java Developer with strong experience in Core Java and Spring Boot to join our team for a leading finance sector project. The ideal candidate should have experience in developing scalable enterprise applications, REST APIs, and backend services while ensuring high performance, security, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based applications.
Develop and enhance microservices using Spring Boot.
Build and consume RESTful APIs.
Participate in application architecture and design discussions.
Write clean, efficient, and reusable code following coding standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve application issues and performance bottlenecks.
Collaborate with Business Analysts, QA teams, and Project Managers.
Perform code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards applicable to financial applications.
Support deployment and production activities when required.
Required Skills
Technical Skills
Strong hands-on experience in Core Java (Java 8 and above).
Excellent knowledge of Spring Boot framework.
Experience with Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, Spring Security.
Strong understanding of RESTful Web Services and API development.
Experience with Hibernate/JPA.
Good knowledge of SQL databases such as Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
Familiarity with Microservices Architecture.
Experience with Git/GitHub/Bitbucket version control systems.
Understanding of Maven/Gradle build tools.
Knowledge of application deployment and CI/CD processes is preferred.
Preferred Skills
Experience in Banking, Financial Services, or Insurance (BFSI) projects.
Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) is an advantage.
Exposure to Docker and Kubernetes is desirable.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Educational Qualification
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
Relevant certifications in Java technologies will be an added advantage.
Desired Candidate Profile
3 to 5 years of relevant experience in Java development.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently and manage project deliverables.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
