Qualifications:
- Ability to successfully perform all essential duties and responsibilities of the position.
- Knowledge of competitive gaming strategies, techniques, rules, and gameplay.
- Ability to teach and develop individual and team gaming skills.
- Ability to promote discipline, teamwork, sportsmanship, and positive student behavior.
- Ability to supervise students and maintain a safe environment.
- Ability to maintain accurate records, statistics, inventories, and program documentation.
- Ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, athletic director, school staff, and community members.
- Commitment to ongoing professional learning through clinics, seminars, and training opportunities related to esports.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Coach and develop student gamers to achieve high levels of skill, discipline, sportsmanship, teamwork, and self-esteem.
- Plan, organize, and supervise regular practices, competitions, and overall team operations.
- Maintain a safe and positive gaming environment and supervise students at all times during team activities.
- Enforce team rules, eligibility standards, discipline expectations, and sportsmanlike conduct.
- Maintain accurate records, statistics, required student documentation, and program history.
- Manage equipment, uniforms, supplies, inventory, and purchasing recommendations.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, school staff, and the community to promote and support the esports program.
Terms of Employment: WUEA Schedule B position, seasonal position only.
Will be employed through EduStaff unless current WUEA member
