Qualifications:
- Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate
- Appropriate endorsement aligned to Career & Technical Education, Industrial Technology, Engineering/Technology, or a related field (e.g., IX, TE, TX, or other relevant endorsement) preferred
- Experience or strong interest in teaching and inspiring middle school students
- Commitment to equitable instructional practices and inclusive learning environments
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Deliver engaging, hands-on instruction aligned to the MEERA curriculum, including areas such as:
- Additive manufacturing (3D printing)
- Robotics and automation
- Basic electronics
- Manufacturing concepts and engineering design
- Create a safe, well-managed lab environment, ensuring adherence to all safety protocols
- Use data to monitor student progress and adjust instruction to support growth and engagement
- Foster a classroom culture aligned with Capturing Kids’ Hearts practices, emphasizing relationships, belonging, and student empowerment
