Senior Software Engineering Manager, Supply Chain Retail Technology

Candidates for this position are preferred to be based in Bangalore, India and will be expected to comply with their team's hybrid work schedule requirements. Who We Are: Wayfair runs the largest custom e-commerce large parcel network in the United States, approximately 1.6 million square meters of logistics space. The nature of the network is inherently a highly complex and data-driven operation. As a result, the Supply Chain Retail Technology team is responsible for building scalable and robust systems to support Wayfair's supply chain operations. We are looking for a seasoned engineering leader to drive the technical strategy and execution of the Supply Chain Retail Technology team. What You'll Do: - Own the technical roadmap and strategy for the Supply Chain Retail Technology team - Lead a team of talented software engineers to deliver high impact projects - Drive cross-functional collaboration with product, operations, and other engineering teams - Mentor and develop the engineering team to help them grow their skills and careers - Continuously identify opportunities to improve the team's processes, tools, and ways of working - Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in software engineering What You'll Need: - 8+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3-5 years in a people management/technical leadership role - Expertise in building and scaling large, complex software systems - Strong background in backend/full-stack engineering, with experience in technologies like Java, Kotlin, Scala, Spring, Kafka, Kubernetes, etc. - Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing engineering teams - Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally - Passion for mentoring and developing engineers - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
