Data Scientist I, Operations - Experienced Graduates

Work within a small but high impact team focused on providing analytical firepower to a number of groups under the operations umbrella, with a focus on Fulfillment, Planning, and Analytics. Support decisions of if, when, and where to open new Fulfillment Centers and Home Delivery Operation nodes in our network in a way that maximizes value through optimizing inbound and outbound speed and cost across a multitude of FC functions. Use a 5+ year forward looking time horizon when conducting cost/benefit trade off analyses. Advise on decisions to expand on our deluxe delivery operations (e.g., pre-building of furniture before delivery, inspections for damage, etc.), reviewing the near term cost/benefit tradeoffs and long term customer lifetime value impacts. Support development of a strategic put away logic for a pilot of automated inbound sortation robots analytical needs. Design and maintain models that drive strategic insight, packaging findings into concise and actionable recommendations, and selling the data story to our cross functional and senior stakeholders. Utilize your experience in SQL, python, and spreadsheet modelling to build tailored and robust sensitivity analyses that identify and address business value opportunities. Develop tools and dashboards that provide critical insights, enabling data-driven decision-making. Work in a fast paced, highly iterative environment that is responsive to the evolving needs of our operations functions and strategies.
