Patient Care Partner / Certified Nursing Assistant / CNA - Full Time 1.0/Varied Shift (Days & PM)

Telemetry Unit

Position Summary: Under the leadership of the Unit Director, Charge Nurse, or Staff Nurse, the patient care partner will take vital signs, perform EKGs and assist with activities of daily living and comfort measures for an assigned group of patients. Recognizes the importance of meeting customer expectations, and demonstrates a positive attitude and efficient use of resources, and performs related duties as necessary to fulfill the customer's needs. Performs duties according to the mission, philosophy, policy and procedures of Watsonville Community Hospital and patient focused care.

Education:

High School diploma or GED preferred.

Experience:

As determined by the Department of Health Services, Nurse Aide Certification Section, State of California.
One year (in the last 2 years) of experienced preferred in acute hospital or long term care setting.

Licenses and/or Certifications:

Certified Nursing Assistant in the State of California required.
Acute Care Certification preferred
American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR required as per hospital guidelines.
