Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) - Part Time 0.6 - Night Shift - Labor & Delivery - **INTERNAL ONLY**
Position Summary: Under the leadership of the Chief Nursing Officer, Perinatal Director, House Supervisor, Charge Nurse, or Staff Nurse, the Health Unit coordinator will coordinate all incoming and outgoing calls, ensuring prompt and appropriate communication to meet patient care needs. Responsible for chart completion, charges for patient short stays and transfers, and order entry as directed. Recognizes the importance of meeting customer expectations and demonstrates a positive attitude and efficient use of resources, and performs related duties as necessary to fulfill the customer’s needs. Performs duties according to the mission, philosophy, policies and procedures of Watsonville Community Hospital.
