Job Description:
Responsibilities:
- Understand company pricing strategies to identify opportunities for improvement and maximize financial impacts in a manufacturing environment.
- Managing the process of establishing list prices thru the various pricing tiers and their adjustments monthly
- Develop pricing for custom containers with support of engineering, cost accounting and plant management.
- Utilize Special Modeling and/or Configurator Tools to develop cost/pricing.
- Clear understanding of Labor & Overhead rates and their application to each manufacturing location and how to apply to costing.
- Understanding of Margin expectations, mark-ups, etc. to ensure variable margins are achieved.
- Provide management with adequate support and work ups for special pricing requests.
- Detailed knowledge and understanding of the Steel Industry and Steel Market Indexes impact of cost/price
- Partner with Regional sales managers, Inside Sales Reps, CSRs, engineering, cost accounting and other partners to understand both customer needs and Wastequip requirements.
- Mastery of WQ products, specifications, etc. to supports the sales team as well as the bid department.
- Work with sales team and engineering on the implementation of new SKUs to reduce the number of special pricing requests.
- Prepare and present key insights and pricing intelligence to management weekly.
- Apply financial, analytical and communication skills to influence decisions that impact profit.
- Evaluate effectiveness of executed pricing strategies to ensure goals are achieved.
- Review and evaluate quotes from sales team, providing feedback, adjustments and changes as required.
- Partner with product management team to create profitable pricing strategies, including pricing associated with new product development.
- Collaborate with senior management to implement new pricing initiatives and track performance of initiatives as implemented.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, engineering or related field in a Manufacturing environment.
- 3 plus years’ experience in a\ manager, pricing, consultant role in Steel Fabrication Industry.
- Strong quantitative skills required.
- Experience with data mining and analysis (primarily Excel, ERP and Salesforce CPQ/CRM application)
- Ability to work with large sets of data and extract actionable insights.
- Analytical and organized with relentless attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) with all levels of an organization.
- Experience in Manufacturing or the Waste Industry preferred.
