Data Engineer II

We are looking for a data engineer who enjoys working with ETL pipelines for operational data sources (for instance, vehicle locations, faregates transactions, or passenger counts), and who can help shape the future of data architecture within WMATA. We work primarily in Python and are building our analytical infrastructure with tools like Apache Airflow/Dagster, dbt, and Trino using Infrastructure-as-Code and Agile/DevOps practices. In this role, you will manage and optimize data pipelines for performance and scalability while ensuring data quality and integrity through robust testing and validation.
