Position Summary:
Our Washburn Tech Summer Camp Student Workers are composed of enthusiastic, committed and outgoing Ichabods who share their love for Washburn by supporting instructors during summer camp. Student workers help assist instructors by monitoring summer camp students, help set up for the lessons and help tear down at the end of the day. They also may help with demonstrations or lessons with instructor supervision. Student workers contribute to the overall recruiting efforts of Washburn Tech during summer camp.

Essential Functions:
-Set up daily lessons or materials for instructors.
-Tear down or clean up materials for instructors.
-Assist instructors with teaching lessons by demonstrating skills or knowledge.
-Monitor summer camp students during hands-on sessions to ensure proper usage of tools or machinery.
-Attend all meetings, events, and required training sessions.
-Present yourself as a positive and enthusiastic promoter of Washburn Tech.
-Act as a responsible supervisor to middle and high school students.
Non-Essential Functions:
-Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
Required Qualifications:
-Candidates must be full-time Washburn Tech students.
-Candidates must be in good standing with Washburn Tech.
-Must be enrolled in the program that will be taught during summer camp.
-Effectively communicate with instructors and summer camp students.
-Speak confidently to individuals and large groups.
-Have a confident, working knowledge of student program.
-Must pass a background check.
Physical Requirements:
-Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications:
-Washburn Tech student for at least two semesters.
-Ability to provide transportation to and from the Tech campus.
