Job Purpose:
Manage warehouse and store operations by ensuring proper inventory management, maintaining accurate stock records, and supporting smooth inward and outward movement of materials through effective use of inventory management software.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels by recording all inward and outward movement of materials. Ensure proper stock availability while minimizing excess or obsolete inventory.
Store Operations Management:
Oversee day-to-day store operations including receiving, storing, issuing, and dispatching materials in an organized and efficient manner.
Goods Receiving and Verification:
Inspect incoming materials to verify quantity and quality against purchase orders and delivery challans. Ensure proper documentation and system entry of received goods.
Inventory Software Management:
Maintain stock records using inventory management software or ERP systems. Ensure all transactions are updated accurately and in real time.
Stock Audits and Reconciliation:
Conduct periodic stock verification and reconcile physical inventory with system records to identify and resolve discrepancies.
Material Issuance and Dispatch Coordination:
Coordinate with internal teams for material requests and ensure timely issuance and dispatch of goods as per requirements.
Warehouse Organization and Safety:
Ensure proper storage, labeling, and categorization of materials within the warehouse to maintain easy accessibility and safe handling.
Documentation Management:
Maintain all warehouse-related documentation such as GRNs, delivery challans, stock registers, and inventory reports.
Functional/Behavioral Skills:
- Good understanding of warehouse and inventory management practices
- Experience working with inventory management software or ERP systems
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in stock management
- Basic understanding of logistics and material handling
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Problem-solving and proactive approach to store management
Qualification/Experience:
Experience: 2–3 years of experience in warehousing, store management, or inventory control
Educational Background: Graduate in Commerce, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or any related field
Technical Knowledge:
- Experience with inventory management software or ERP systems
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and stock reporting
- Understanding of warehouse documentation and stock reconciliation processes
