Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Middle School English Teacher to teach students in Grades 6–8. The ideal candidate should possess strong subject knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to create an engaging and student-centered learning environment that fosters language proficiency, critical thinking, creativity, and a love for literature.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons aligned with the CBSE curriculum.
- Teach grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, writing skills, literature, and spoken English.
- Develop students' communication, analytical, and creative writing abilities.
- Design lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, and assessments to meet learning objectives.
- Evaluate student performance through classwork, projects, tests, and examinations.
- Provide timely feedback and individualized support to help students improve.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and academic progress.
- Integrate technology and innovative teaching methodologies into classroom instruction.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and disciplined classroom environment.
- Encourage reading habits through storytelling, library activities, debates, presentations, and literary events.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding students' academic progress and overall development.
- Participate in staff meetings, training programs, school events, and extracurricular activities.
- Perform examination duties and other responsibilities assigned by the school management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in English or a related discipline.
- B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) is mandatory.
- Excellent command of spoken and written English.
Experience
- Minimum 1 to 2 years of teaching experience in CBSE schools (Grades 6–8 preferred).
- Experience in activity-based and competency-based teaching will be an added advantage.
Required Skills
- Strong subject knowledge of English language and literature.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Proficiency in MS Office and digital teaching platforms.
