xAQUA is hiring in Kolkata — Salt Lake Sector 5.
Enterprise AI cannot succeed without trusted, accessible, and well-governed data. xAQUA is solving that foundational challenge by building an AI-native enterprise data platform where specialized AI agents work alongside data teams to discover, understand, integrate, govern, and use complex enterprise data.
We solve demanding data and AI challenges for large enterprises and regulated industries, including a major U.S. public pension organization managing more than $400 billion in assets.
We are expanding our Kolkata engineering team and looking for exceptional professionals who want to do more than maintain existing systems. At xAQUA, you will help shape the product, architecture, engineering practices, and culture of a growing AI-native company.
Open Roles
1. Head of Product Engineering
We are looking for a hands-on engineering leader who can translate product vision into scalable, enterprise-grade software.
Key expectations:
· Lead and mentor multidisciplinary product engineering teams
· Own engineering execution, architecture quality, delivery predictability, and technical excellence
· Establish strong standards for design, development, testing, DevOps, security, and release management
· Work closely with product leadership to convert complex business needs into clear engineering plans
· Remain hands-on with architecture, design reviews, troubleshooting, and critical technical decisions
· Build an accountable, collaborative, high-performance engineering culture
Preferred background: Strong experience leading enterprise product engineering teams, building cloud-native platforms, and delivering data, AI, analytics, or SaaS products.
2. Product Engineer — Mid to Senior
Required: Python, microservices and API development, PostgreSQL, S3, strong object-oriented analysis and design, and hands-on experience building AI, GenAI, or LLM-powered applications.
Preferred: RAG, vector databases, BM25 and similarity search, NLP, distributed systems, and enterprise-grade AI architecture.
3. Test Automation Engineer
Required: Python, Selenium, Playwright, AI-driven test automation, and practical use of GenAI in test design, test generation, execution, regression analysis, and defect investigation.
We are looking for someone who can help build an intelligent quality engineering practice—not simply automate existing manual test cases.
4. Senior DevOps Engineer — Expert
Required: Expert-level cloud and platform engineering experience, with strong AWS expertise. Azure and GCP experience are preferred.
You should have deep experience with Kubernetes, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, release engineering, deployment automation, observability, security, reliability, and production operations.
5. Database Engineer — Junior to Mid
Required: Strong PostgreSQL and SQL skills, data modeling fundamentals, and disciplined database schema and configuration change management using Flyway or similar tools.
Preferred: Performance tuning, synthetic data generation, database validation and reconciliation, and experience working with large, complex schemas containing hundreds of tables.
All positions require strong analytical and problem-solving skills, an exceptional engineering track record, and a solid academic foundation.
