Senior Manager, Automation Engineering - Simulation

This role is part of the Stores Front-End Transformation and Innovation team and reports to the Director, Automation Engineering. This is an onsite position based in Bentonville, Arkansas.

What you'll do...

• Digital Twins: Responsible to develop Digital Twins to simulate the store frontend, optimizing checkout flow, enhancing customer, associate experiences, and improving operational efficiencies
• Supplier Management: Responsible to lead, manage, and guide external partners like SoftServe and NVIDIA to deliver highly scalable digital twin tools
• Simulation Strategy: Responsible for shaping Walmart’s Stores Frontend Simulation strategy. This leader will provide key business and system inputs, technical outputs and business outcomes
• Visionary Mindset: Combines technologies building blocks like image-based modeling, AI and machine learning, and physics-based game modeling
• Tools: Advanced level experience building discrete event simulation models from scratch using industry standard tools such as FlexSim, NVIDIA Omniverse, Enterprise Dynamics, and Anylogic
  
  

What you’ll bring…

• Experience leading a Simulation / Data Science team providing key business and system design inputs, validation, and optimization value propositions for efficiency and innovation
• Advanced level experience building discrete event simulation models from scratch using industry standard tools such as Enterprise Dynamics, Anylogic, FlexSim, NVIDIA Omniverse
• Advanced understanding of E2E process flow modeling
• Expert in using python Simpy and other big-data analysis tools such as (Pandas, Sci-kit, Numpy) with demonstrated experience in having used these tools in complex models
• Fundamental understanding of ML concepts and experience using tensorFlow/Pytorch etc.
• Advanced experience in SQL querying languages
• Experience developing optimization algorithms from scratch (Formulation of objective functions, Gurobi or PulP solvers)

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00

Additional Compensation Includes Annual Or Quarterly Performance Bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...

years’ experience in Engineering, supply chain, or a related area.
