PRINCIPAL, SOFTWARE ENGINEER

Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring progress and adjusting performance accordingly; developing contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning. About Team: Marketplace Engineering team is at the forefront ofbuilding core platforms and services to enable Walmart to deliver vast selection at competitive prices and withbest in class customer experienceby enabling third-party sellers to list, sell and manage their products to our customers on walmart.com. We do this by managing the entire seller lifecycle, monitoring customer experience, and delivering high-value insights to our sellers to help them plan their assortment, price, inventory. The team also actively collaborateswith partner platform teams to ensure we continue to deliver thebest experience to our sellers and our customers. What youll do: Youll have the opportunity to work with large-scale low latency systems interfacing with multiple subsystems and data models. Build low latency, scalable and effective services to solve seller risk detection and mitigation strategies. Build and optimize distributed data processing jobs. Build and manage data pipelines, integrating data from multiple sources and ensuring data accuracy and completeness. Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in software engineering, architecture and AI. Lead end to end design and architecture for seller risk and fraud management solutions working across domains and subsystems. Responsible tech leader fortech quality, trending tool adoptions, design ; architecture enhancements and mentoring engineers in IC capability. What youll bring: Strong background in computer science: algorithms and data structures. Strong coding skills with Java. Proven experience in writing extensible and testable software. Proficient with design patterns, OOP, and/or Functional programming. Proficient in designing robust, large scale backend system, considering for performance, scalability, security, and maintainability. Experience with Docker containerization, Kubernetes, GCP, and/or Azure. Excellent interpersonal skills, able to work independently and in a team. Experience with Data Engineering, ML algorithms, tools, and ML systems is nice to have. B.E./B. Tech/M Tech/MS in Computer Science or related technical field. 14+ years of experience in design and development of high scale applications development in product based companies or R;D divisions. 8+ years of experience building micro-services using JAV
