Role- Storage Administrator(Walk-In Interview)

Key Responsibilities
- Storage Provisioning & Management: Provision block (SAN) and file (NAS) storage (LUNs, Volumes, NFS/CIFS shares) on EMC, NetApp, and Pure arrays.
- Infrastructure Maintenance: Maintain hardware/software components, perform firmware upgrades, and manage storage capacity, including aggregate management.
- Performance Monitoring & Tuning: Monitor SAN/NAS performance using tools to diagnose latency, throughput, and IOPS bottlenecks, ensuring optimal efficiency.
- Data Protection & Replication: Configure snapshot schedules, SnapMirror/SnapVault (NetApp), and SRDF/Replication (EMC) for disaster recovery and business continuity.
- Troubleshooting: Provide L2/L3 support for storage incidents, analyzing root causes (RCA) for hardware failures or performance issues.
- Fabric Management: Perform SAN zoning on Brocade/Cisco switches and manage multipathing for path redundancy.
- Vendor-Specific Responsibilities
- NetApp: Manage ONTAP Cluster-Mode filers, Qtrees, Volumes, Aggregates, and Snapshots using OnCommand System Manager or CLI.
- Dell EMC: Administer PowerStore, Unity, or PowerMax arrays, including provisioning, zoning, and managing data protection policies.
- Pure Storage: Manage FlashArray performance, data reduction ratios, and provisioning via Pure1 management interface.
