Role Description The Project Linked Junior Research Fellow will contribute to research activities under the project at ISI, Kolkata. This full-time, on-site role involves performing literature reviews, designing algorithms, proving theorems, and supporting the development of research methodologies. The Fellow will help prepare project reports, research manuscripts, and presentations, and may collaborate with faculty members, senior researchers, and other project staff. Responsibilities can also include attending research meetings, maintaining proper documentation of project activities, and supporting administrative tasks related to the project.
Eligibility
- M.E./ M.Tech. or higher degree in Computer Science or M.Sc. in Statistics/ Applied Statistics and Analytics/Mathematics/ Computer Science or related fields
- Knowledge of Design and Analysis of Algorithms
- Knowledge of Graph Algorithms
- All through First Class
Desired:
- Knowledge of Computational Social Choice/Parameterized Algorithms
- Ability of writing proof of correctness of algorithms.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in computer science, mathematics, or a closely related quantitative discipline, with the ability to apply theoretical concepts to practical research problems.
- Effective written and oral communication skills for preparing research reports, manuscripts, and presentations, as well as documenting project workflows clearly.
- Ability to conduct thorough literature reviews, synthesize findings, and contribute to the design of algorithms or studies in alignment with project objectives.
- Demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively in a research team, manage time and tasks independently, and maintain attention to detail in both analytical and documentation work.
- Interest in academic research and willingness to learn new methods, tools, and techniques as required by the project.
