Job Title: WAF L2 Engineer
Location: Nagpur

Shift: 24×7 (Rotational)
Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled WAF L2 Engineer to manage and support Web Application Firewall (WAF) and security infrastructure. The candidate will be responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining WAF solutions to protect web applications from cyber threats and ensure high availability.
This role involves L2 support, incident handling, and security policy management in a high-availability enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Level 2 support for WAF platforms (F5 ASM / WAF).
- Monitor WAF alerts, logs, and security events.
- Analyze and respond to threats like SQL Injection, XSS, OWASP attacks.
- Configure and manage WAF policies, rules, and exceptions.
- Perform incident troubleshooting, root cause analysis (RCA), and resolution.
- Handle service tickets, change requests, and patch updates.
- Work on SSL/TLS traffic inspection (SSLO) and encryption handling.
- Coordinate with L3/OEM vendors for critical issues.
- Ensure compliance with security standards and policies.
- Maintain documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base.
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience in F5 BIG-IP (LTM, ASM/WAF)
- Knowledge of:
- HTTP/HTTPS, TCP/IP, DNS
- SSL/TLS protocols
- Web security concepts (OWASP Top 10)
- Experience in:
- WAF policy tuning & rule creation
- Security incident handling
- Log analysis & monitoring tools
- Basic networking knowledge (Routing, Firewall concepts)
Preferred Skills
- Experience in F5 SSL Orchestrator (SSLO)
- Knowledge of DDoS protection / Load Balancer (F5 LTM)
- Exposure to SOC / SIEM tools
- Scripting knowledge (Python / Bash – optional)
Qualifications
- BE / B.Tech / BCA / MCA (IT / CS or related field)
- Certifications (Preferred):
- CCNA / CCNP Security
- CEH
- F5 Certification (F5-CA / F5-CTS)
