The role
Are you an organised and proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment?
We’re looking for a dynamic Business Support Officer to join our team. In this varied and people-focused role, you’ll provide high-quality front of house client services and administrative support. The role extends to managing office systems, providing a wide range of business support functions, assisting with building compliance and safety upkeep for 8 offices (metro/regional) and playing a key role in ensuring our office environments are high quality and functional for all staff. If you are highly motivated, possess strong communication and interpersonal skills and have a‘can do’ willingness to work collaboratively and professionally in all business settings, we’d love to hear from you!
🔹 Location: The position is fulltime, Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm working onsite at our WAPHA Head Office, Level 2, 1 Hood Street, Subiaco
🔹 Salary: Band 3 ($74,543 Plus 11.5% Superannuation)
🔹 Employment Type: Full-time Ongoing
About You
Key tasks and responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Providing exceptional front-of-house and reception services.
- Daily office upkeep, maintenance compliance and safety.
- Supporting procurement and contract administration for WAPHA offices and regional sites.
- Assisting with internal and external event coordination.
- Provision of onsite Executive administration support when required.
- Maintaining key systems including SharePoint, Outlook, and document management systems.
- Finance and Purchase Order Supporting key projects and operational priorities, including sustainability and office services initiatives.
- Coordinating orientation training and WHS/emergency procedures for staff.
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following selection criteria:
Essential Experience And Education
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent demonstrated experience.
- Experience in a similar administrative or business support role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organised with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and enterprise systems (e.g. SharePoint, Oracle).
- A team player who can work independently and show initiative.
- Able to manage confidential information with discretion.
- Experience preparing professional meeting documentation, including agendas and minutes.
- Experience in procurement processes, invoice processing, and maintaining office systems.

It does so through the development and implementation of strong internal financial control systems and processes; ensuring WAPHA’s people, processes and workplaces are diverse, productive, innovative and committed to wellbeing and excellence; bolstering corporate governance capacity in quality assurance, internal auditing, accreditation and probity; and risk assessment and mitigation.
The Portfolio’s teams are Analytics and Performance; Project Management, Finance, Office and Facilities, Risk Management; People and Culture and Executive Office.
