Job Summary
A CAD Designer will produce drawings, BOM’s and cost for custom manifolds that will be supplied to OEM sales and internal/external customers.
Job Responsibilities
- Designs systems for faster and repeatable quoting/ tracking
- Reviews quotes
- Assists in scheduling units for production according to procedures and communicates lead times/issues to Sales/Customer
- Works with Manufacturing to develop repeatable designs for new unit lines, improve current unit build processes
- Provides accurate descriptions, BOMs, schematics and CAD drawings to sales for customer presentations
- Collaborate with customer/sales directly via phone/email/fax and in person to provide a quote and drawing
- Produces part BOMs/drawings for in-house or vendor use
- Works with a variety of Engineering systems to provide accurate and clear descriptions, drawings, BOMs and cost to our customers
- Collaborates cross functionally improve the information provided to our customers
- Participates in special projects for Engineering (Research & Development, new component selection, process development, and process improvement)
- Adheres to companywide and department specific safety guidelines
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related discipline or equivalent work experience, preferred
- 3 years’ experience in engineering software – Solidworks preferred or 3D CAD experience
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of Hydraulic systems, basic electrical, welding, machining (Manual and CNC) and manufacturing
