Senior Scala Engineer

Senior Scala Engineer to join a dynamic and agile development team. The team focuses on building client-facing REST APIs that power IPTV (television over the internet), enabling key features such as: Consumer entitlement verification On/off-net verification Parental control verification Settings management Tech Stack & Tools: Programming: Scala, Scalatra (Functional style, Futures for async functionality) Frameworks & Tools: Memcached, Kafka, MongoDB DevOps & Infra: Docker, Kubernetes Monitoring: Splunk Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain microservices Enhance and improve existing services Handle and optimize hundreds of millions of REST API calls daily Design scalable and dependable systems with minimal supervision Contribute to a highly collaborative, small-team environment Requirements: Strong proficiency in Scala and asynchronous programming Experience with building high-throughput REST APIs Familiarity with the listed technology stack Self-motivated with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills Ability to handle responsibility and work independently
