Role Description The VRF AC Technician role is a full-time, on-site position based in Indore. The technician will install, commission, and maintain VRF (Variable Refrigerant Flow) air conditioning systems in commercial and residential projects, following technical specifications and safety standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include diagnosing system issues, performing repairs, routine servicing, and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency. The role involves working with ducting, copper piping, controls, and related HVAC components, as well as coordinating with project engineers and site supervisors to complete installations on schedule. The technician will also prepare basic service reports, maintain tools and equipment, and support continuous improvement in service quality.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong VRF/VRV system skills, including installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of multi-split and centralized air conditioning systems.
- Candidates should possess core HVAC technical skills such as knowledge of refrigeration cycles, copper piping and brazing, ducting, pressure testing, vacuuming, and refrigerant charging.
- Candidates should possess electrical and controls skills, including basic wiring, understanding of control panels, thermostats, sensors, and the ability to read electrical and control diagrams.
- Candidates should possess mechanical and safety skills, including use of hand and power tools, adherence to safety protocols, and familiarity with PPE and site safety practices.
- Candidates should possess diagnostic and problem-solving skills, including fault identification, use of gauges and measuring instruments, and systematic troubleshooting.
- Candidates should possess communication and teamwork skills, including the ability to interact with clients, coordinate with supervisors and colleagues, and document work clearly.
- Relevant ITI, diploma, or vocational certification in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning or HVAC is preferred; prior experience as a VRF/AC technician or in HVAC projects will be an advantage.
