VP - Trade Finance Operations (IC Role)
Role Description:
The Global Trade finance operations role provides centralized advisory for global trade finance operations with a strong focus on regulatory compliance, ICC rules, control frameworks, risk management, and data integrity.
Responsibilities:
- Act as SME on ICC rules (UCP 600, ISBP, URDG, etc.) and advise on complex trade transactions and discrepancies.
- Support global teams with document examination, escalations, and data quality initiatives.
- Translate AML, sanctions, and TBML regulations into operational guidance.
- Drive implementation of regulatory changes and ensure global compliance.
- Convert global policies into standardized procedures and ensure consistent adoption across regions.
- Conduct periodic reviews to identify and close compliance gaps.
- Design and implement risk/control frameworks; perform risk assessments and remediation.
- Monitor control effectiveness in line with ICC and regulatory standards.
- Manage audits and regulatory inspections; ensure timely closure of findings and alignment with global standards.
- Support trade finance system implementation and ensure back-office readiness.
- Act as SPOC for business during design, testing, and rollout phases.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Banking, Law, or Business (advanced degree or professional certifications preferred).
- 15+ years of experience in trade finance operations, trade advisory, regulatory, or controls roles.
- Deep expertise in trade finance operations and ICC rules (UCP 600, ISBP, URDG 758).
- Strong knowledge of trade finance systems and transformation projects.
- Prior exposure to audits, regulatory reviews, or compliance engagements.
