Role Overview
We are seeking a VP – Partnerships & Operations to build and manage strategic collaborations with universities, institutions, and partners while supporting operational coordination across internal teams.
This role acts as a key bridge between the organization, its partners, and its clients, ensuring strong stakeholder relationships, structured partnership management, and smooth operational execution.
The role requires a highly organized professional who can manage institutional relationships, coordinate with leadership, and support basic organizational operations in a growing technology environment.
This role works closely with leadership, business development, and product teams to ensure that institutional partnerships and collaborations are aligned with the organization’s strategic priorities.
The role will act as a bridge between external partners and internal teams, ensuring that partner expectations, business opportunities, and product capabilities are effectively coordinated.
Key Responsibilities
Partnerships & Institutional Collaboration
- Draft and manage MOUs with universities, institutional partners, and collaborating organizations.
- Ensure clarity in roles, deliverables, and partnership expectations.
- Maintain and nurture long-term relationships with institutional partners.
- Track partnership outcomes and coordinate renewals or extensions when required.
Stakeholder & Client Relationship Management
- Manage communication with clients, collaborators, and institutional stakeholders.
- Build and nurture strong customer relationships and engagement.
- Support client retention and product renewals through proactive relationship management.
- Represent the organization professionally in external interactions.
Compliance & Partnership Governance
- Ensure legal, regulatory, and ethical compliance across all partnerships and collaborations.
- Coordinate with leadership and advisors for agreement reviews where necessary.
- Maintain proper documentation and records for partnership agreements and communications.
Strategic Coordination with Leadership
- Work closely with leadership to identify and develop new partnership opportunities.
- Support initiatives related to institutional collaborations, industry partnerships, and ecosystem engagement.
- Assist in coordinating cross-functional initiatives involving internal teams and external partners.
Organizational Operations Support
- Support organizational communication and coordination across internal teams.
- Maintain structured documentation related to partnerships, agreements, and operational activities.
- Assist leadership in tracking partnership progress and collaboration outcomes.
Organizational Operations Support (HR & Administrative Coordination)
- Review and monitor employee performance alignment with defined goals.
- Facilitate physical interviews and candidate interactions when required.
- Coordinate onboarding of new employees, interns, or contractors.
- Maintain basic HR documentation and employee records for operational continuity.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
This role collaborates closely with multiple internal teams to ensure successful partnership execution and alignment with organizational goals:
- Leadership Team – to support partnership strategy, institutional collaborations, and ecosystem growth initiatives.
- Business Development Team – to identify new partnership opportunities and strengthen engagement with prospective collaborators.
- Product & Engineering Teams – to align partner requirements with product capabilities and ensure effective delivery of collaborative initiatives.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience in stakeholder management and partnership coordination.
- Proven ability to build and maintain institutional and client relationships.
- Experience working in startup or growth-stage organizations.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and documentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple partnerships and operational tasks simultaneously.
- Strong organizational and follow-through capability.
- Preferred familiarity with operational and collaboration tools such as CRM systems (eg., Hubspot), documentation and collaboration platforms, and HR portals.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Communications, or related fields.
- An MBA or postgraduate qualification in management or business is preferred but not mandatory.
