Job description:
- Coverage of FI clients, primarily Banks (including offshore branches of Indian Banks) & Non-Bank FI’s across India with a focus on growing FIG business for SMBC.
- New client acquisition with the objective of building non-lending revenue from inter-bank businesses, including JPY Nostro account relationship management.
- Cross-sell products to build non-lending revenue, in collaboration with product teams. Leverage existing product capabilities to maximize wallet share with existing clients.
- Work with stakeholders to develop products to enhance interbank business.
- Establish relationships with senior client personnel to identify business opportunities and potential collaboration.
- Identify and on-board new clients in line with acceptable credit and risk metrics.
- Guide analysts in preparing Credit Application/Grading clients.
- Adhere to credit policies and comply with Group policies and guidelines.
- Work closely with local and regional teams to offer cross-sell propositions to clients for relationship revenue maximization.
- Ensure and promote a disciplined approach to all internal compliance requirements and applicable regulationsSupport other strategic initiatives and perform other tasks as needed.
Profile description:
Education: MBA/CA/Postgraduate from a Tier-1 University
Experience:
1. 8-12 years of experience in client coverage in the FI industry with experience of covering domestic and international Banks & Domestic FI's.
2. Proven track record of establishing revenue lines and new business origination from clients.
3. Understanding and experience of trade finance products and Foreign Currency Clearing (Nostro/Vostro) business.
4. Experience of credit analysis and diligence of Financial Sector entities like Public Financial Institutions and Banks.
Knowledge & Skills
1. Experience and understanding of inter-bank and institutional businesses, relevant documentation, and transaction execution process-flow.
2. Strong inter-personal and negotiation skills with demonstrated track record of client management & engagement.
3. Self-starter with demonstrated project and time management capabilities
