Role Description
The VP – Government Relations is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in Abroad. This position is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with government agencies and regulatory bodies relevant to immigration and visa services. The role involves monitoring policy and legislative developments, advising internal teams on regulatory implications, and shaping company strategies to align with government requirements. The VP will represent the organization in official meetings, industry forums, and public affairs initiatives, while leading advocacy efforts that support the firm’s clients and business goals. Daily activities include overseeing compliance-related projects, coordinating with legal and operations teams, preparing briefings and reports, and guiding communication with governmental stakeholders to support sustainable growth and ethical practices.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Government Relations and Governmental Affairs, with the ability to build and sustain strategic relationships with relevant authorities.
- Demonstrated experience in Legislative Relations and Lobbying, including monitoring policy changes and engaging constructively with decision-makers.
- Solid background in Public Affairs, including representing the organization in public forums and managing external stakeholder communication.
- Proven leadership experience in a regulatory, legal, or public policy environment, preferably within immigration, consulting, or related sectors.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills, with the capacity to translate complex regulations into clear guidance for internal teams.
- Ability to work on-site in Ahmedabad, collaborate across functions, and manage multiple initiatives with attention to compliance and ethics.
- Advanced degree in Law, Public Policy, Political Science, International Relations, or a related field is highly beneficial.
- Experience working with Indian and international regulatory frameworks, and familiarity with immigration and visa processes is a strong advantage.
