Role & Responsibilities
Financial operations-
- Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, tax, and compliance.
- Bring in industry best practices for routine tasks
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Manage cash flow, treasury, and banking relationships.
- Analytics - Board and Function level MIS and Dashboards
- Publish monthly MIS for the CEO and the Board - providing company and business unit financial KPIs.
- Design and set up business dashboards such as customer-level profitability, business unit-level profitability, etc
- Assess the ROI of new and ongoing investments and give inputs to the CEO/ Business Unit heads for future investment planning and any course corrections needed.
Annual budgeting and forecasting-
- Lead the annual budgeting process and produce high-quality financial forecasts, by business unit to guide planning and investment decisions.
- Track budget vs actual performance and regularly report variances regularly to the CEO with suggested measures to improve metrics.
- Design systems to project financials and cash flows with a high degree of accuracy.
Pricing strategy-
- Review the existing pricing model and change prices or the entire structure in line with changing cost structures and competitive situations, in collaboration with sales, marketing and product teams.
- Incorporate inputs from the pricing meeting in the annual forecast and budgets and ensure healthy profitability across business units.
Risk Management and Compliance-
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, and accounting standards, and establish internal controls.
- Statutory compliances and payments including but not limited to - TDS, GST, Income tax.
- Handling audits and other secretarial processes.
- P&L Management, Product-Wise Profitability & Budgeting/Cost Control
- Own and manage the full P&L with a focus on product-wise profitability. Drive budgeting, cost control, and margin improvement across business units.

Ideal Candidate
- Strong Senior Finance Leadership profiles (AVP / Head level)
- Mandatory (Experience 1) – Must be a Chartered Accountant (CA) with 10+ years of post-qualification experience
- Mandatory (Experience 2) – Must have prior experience in an IPO process OR worked in a listed company as CFO / Finance Head, with exposure to board-level reporting and investor readiness.
- Mandatory (Experience 3) – Must have minimum 3+ years of experience in a leadership role, managing and building finance teams.
- Mandatory (Experience 4) – Must have end-to-end ownership of financial operations, including accounting, taxation (GST, TDS, Income Tax), compliance, audits, treasury, and banking relationships.
- Mandatory (Experience 5) – Must have strong P&L management experience, including product-wise profitability, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control, with proven ability to drive margin improvements.
- Mandatory (Experience 6) – Must have hands-on experience in financial planning & analysis (FP&A) including annual budgeting, variance analysis (budget vs actuals), and financial forecasting at business unit level
- Mandatory (Experience 7) – Must have experience in MIS reporting and dashboarding, including board-level MIS, financial KPIs, and business performance analytics
- Mandatory (Experience 8) – Must have experience in managing Accounts Receivable (AR), billing controls, and commercial finance (contracts, negotiations, agreements)
- Mandatory (Education) - CA
- Mandatory (Company) – Candidate must be from Indian IT / B2B SaaS / B2C tech companies only (avoid Healthcare / Manufacturing backgrounds)
- Mandatory (Stability) – Candidate should demonstrate stable career progression with minimum 2–3 years tenure in recent roles, especially in leadership positions
