We are looking for a senior leader to head US Payroll and Accounting operations from Chennai, managing large-scale back-office / shared services delivery for US clients.
This role will own end-to-end US payroll processing, accounting operations, and offshore delivery, including compliance with US GAAP, payroll tax, W2, 1099, and multi-state payroll regulations. You will lead a team of 100+ FTEs, drive service delivery, SLA/KPI management, client engagement, and process excellence.
The role also involves close collaboration with US stakeholders, supporting client onboarding, transitions, and business growth initiatives, while ensuring high-quality execution across payroll, AR/AP, reconciliation, and financial reporting processes.
We are looking for candidates with 18+ years of experience in US payroll, US accounting, BPO/shared services, or GCC environments, with proven expertise in operations leadership, large team management, and client handling. Experience with platforms such as ADP, Paychex, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or QuickBooks will be an added advantage.
Strong communication skills are essential, along with the ability to work in overlapping shifts. Exposure to global stakeholders and a valid business visa will be an advantage.
Location: Chennai
Compensation: ₹25 LPA + performance bonus (flexible for the right candidate)
