What we are looking for:
The Communications team is seeking a new team member to support our commercial organization, helping shape content, social media and messaging across key business and product initiatives, with a focus on the launch of the all-new, fully electric EX60. What you'll do

A day in the life:
•    Support day-to-day social media execution, including drafting, scheduling, and publishing content across Volvo Car USA channels
•    Assist in shaping messaging and communications, with a focus on the all-new, fully electric Volvo EX60 
•    Collaborate with Corporate & Stakeholder, Product & Technology, and Brand & Consumer Communications teams to ensure content is accurate, aligned, and on brand
•    Monitor social channels and performance and create reports as needed, helping identify trends, insights, and opportunities to refine storytelling
•    Help maintain content calendars, briefing documents, and asset organization to support timely delivery
•    Contribute to clear, human-centered storytelling that brings Volvo’s products and brand to life

What you'll bring

What you will bring to Volvo:
•    Currently pursuing a degree in Communications, Media, or a related field
•    Strong communication skills and a clear interest in social media, storytelling, and digital content
•    A proactive, detail-oriented yet creative mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
•    Familiarity with major social platforms and an eagerness to learn Volvo’s brand and products

You might also have:
•    Experience with creative or social media management tools (I.e., Adobe Creative Cloud, Khoros, Monday.com)
•    Experience with communications platforms (I.e., Bananatag / Staffbase, Campaign Monitor)
•    A strong personal interest in social media, storytelling, or digital content

SALARY & BENEFITS:
The hourly compensation for this internship is $22.00 per hour. The rate of pay offered is based on factors such as a candidate’s relevant skills, experience, education, and overall alignment with organizational needs. About the company

The Volvo Halifax Assembly Plant located in Halifax, Nova Scotia was opened on 11 June 1963 by Prince Bertil. It was the second assembly plant Volvo opened outside of Sweden and the third non-domestic auto plant in North America after Fiat and Rolls-Royce. Volvo decided to open the plant to bypass hefty North American import tariffs on foreign goods and to capitalize on the newly signed Canadian/American Auto Pact. The plant was operated by Volvo Canada Limited (now Volvo Cars of Canada Corporation) in Toronto, Ontario, and bridged the gap between Volvo of North America (Rockleigh, New Jersey), Volvo headquarters and the flagship Torslanda plant in Gothenburg.
