About the role

As the Software Engineer, you are responsible for the applications design, development, implementation and maintenance. The Software Engineer is expected to understand and be familiar with Adobe Edge Delivery Services (EDS), development, and maintenance processes. The developer is expected to have solid working knowledge and experience in Adobe EDS web development and in a relevant technology or/and in a business solution/process, combined with good knowledge about AGILE methodology. Participate in maintenance activities. Responsibilities: Lead software engineering team that develops public websites for multiple brands. Design efficient solutions leveraging the standard technologies and techniques of the platform, meeting required non-functional requirements, complying with Volvo architecture guidelines, minimizing specific in-house developments, and ensuring capacity to upgrade the solution. Ensure applicable IT security directives are followed. Develop and test features according to the requirements, using appointed tools and technologies, keeping in mind quality, cost, and timeline. Provide expertise in one or several areas around systems integration, platform architecture, development languages and techniques, tools, including user experience tools. Coordinate and cooperate with multiple stakeholders including front-end and back-end developers; quality engineers; business analysts; architects; solution engineers, consultants, and leaders; marketing teams; content editors; and delivery managers. Design, develop, collaborate, implement the development tasks/activities on a daily and regular basis to create an efficient work delivery Actively participate during requirement collection and system analysis phase along with Agile team members Follow all coding/testing guidelines and best practices. Build, release, and deploy on test, dev, and prod environments. Branching and merging to version control systems using GIT. Support implementations/Rollouts of new features/issue fixes/enhancements in non-prod/Prod environments.
