About the Role

As a Cashier/Sales Associate at VOAMI, you’ll do more than maintain guest services and generate sales—you’ll play a vital role in funding programs that support individuals in need across Michigan. Every transaction you process and every guest you assist helps provide housing, food, and essential services to those who need it most.

 

What You’ll Do

• Deliver Outstanding Guest Service:
  Greet and assist customers, share product knowledge, and ensure a welcoming environment.
• Support Store Operations:
  Operate cash registers accurately, assist with merchandising, pricing, and housekeeping to keep the store organized and inviting.
• Loss Prevention & Compliance:
  Monitor floor activity, follow VOAMI policies, and maintain accountability for cash and media transactions.
• Team Collaboration:
  Work closely with the Store Manager and Assistant Manager to ensure smooth operations.

• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to operate registers and handle transactions accurately
• Friendly, positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Physical ability to move merchandise and work varied hours

 

Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs and access all areas of the store
• Comfortable working indoors with occasional seasonal elements
• Ability to interact with a diverse public and handle interruptions professionally
