Role Description
The Street Angels Foundation is seeking a motivated and organised Volunteer Coordinator to design, manage, and expand our volunteer engagement initiatives. We are looking to amplify our impact via sustainable formal and informal volunteer efforts. This role will be central to designing, managing, and nurturing meaningful volunteer programmes aligned with our mission and values. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with students, schools, and community partners, and who can translate intent into structured, meaningful volunteer experiences.
The Coordinator will play a key role in strengthening our school liaison programme, with students and adults, and ensuring that volunteer efforts align with the foundation’s mission and values.
Key Responsibilities
Volunteer Programme Development
- Design clear role descriptions (JDs) for volunteers across various programmes
- Build structured volunteer pathways (orientation, engagement, feedback, exit)
- Ensure volunteer roles are well-defined, and impact-driven
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Recruit volunteers through schools, colleges, and partner networks
- Deliver volunteer onboarding, training, and orientation sessions
- Maintain volunteer databases and documentation
Volunteer Management
- Schedule, coordinate, and support volunteers during their engagement
- Act as the primary point of contact for volunteers
- Track volunteer hours, engagement levels, and participation outcomes
School Liaison Programme
- Coordinate with schools for student volunteer engagement
- Communicate expectations, timelines, and outcomes clearly with school coordinators
- Support documentation required for school service-learning or CAS-style programmes
Collaboration & Reporting
- Work closely with internal teams to align volunteer activities with organisational needs
- Prepare reports on volunteer participation, outcomes, and feedback
- Continuously improve volunteer experiences based on feedback and reflection
Qualifications
Skills & Experience
Required
- Strong organisational and communication skills in English (native, near-native fluency)
- Experience working with volunteers, NGOs, schools, or community programmes
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple stakeholders
- Maintenance of documentation and volunteering evidence using Word, Excel, Google Drive, Google Calendar, Gmail and Canva.
- Experience with service learning experiences in partnership with school programmes.
- Strong people skills with a calm, empathetic approach
