About Global Shapers Amaravati
Global Shapers Amaravati is a local hub of the Global Shapers Community, an initiative by the World Economic Forum that connects young leaders under 30 who are committed to driving social change. Focused on tackling challenges like climate action, education, mental health, and digital inclusion, the Amaravati hub empowers youth to create meaningful local impact while aligning initiatives with global Sustainable Development Goals. Members, known as Shapers, are selected for their leadership potential and diverse experiences, and are united by the vision of building inclusive and sustainable communities. Through innovative projects and collective action, Shapers in Amaravati mobilize resources, foster collaboration, and gain access to skill-building opportunities and mentorship on a global scale to make a difference in their community and beyond.
Role Description
This is an on-site, full-time Volunteer role based in Amaravati. Volunteers actively contribute to the design, planning, and execution of local initiatives aligned with the hub's mission and the Sustainable Development Goals. Day-to-day responsibilities include organizing community programs, collaborating with fellow Shapers, engaging stakeholders, conducting research, and managing project deliverables. Volunteers will participate in leadership development activities, support social innovation efforts, and help foster awareness for social, environmental, and economic challenges in the community.

- Strong leadership, collaboration, and project management skills
- Experience in communication, public speaking, and stakeholder engagement
- Passion for social impact, problem-solving, and alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals
- Ability to conduct research, analyze data, and deliver actionable insights
- Flexibility and adaptability when working in diverse and dynamic environments
- Commitment to ethical integrity and inclusive community development
- Preferred: Familiarity with areas such as climate action, education, digital inclusion, or mental health initiatives
Note: Volunteers join on a provisional basis. Based on performance, they may be converted into full-time Shapers.
