Job Title: Volatility Trader
Location: Mumbai

Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced
Options Trader to manage and grow a trading book focused on volatility, positional market making, and relative value strategies. The successful candidate will identify short-term market mispricings, manage risk across options positions, and collaborate with research and quantitative teams to enhance strategy performance.
Core Responsibilities
Revenue Generation
- Identify and capitalize on short-term pricing inefficiencies in options markets.
- Execute and manage trades to maximize trading PnL.
- Actively manage a trading book including options, futures, and hedging positions.
Trading Strategy Development
- Implement and manage positional market-making strategies.
- Trade relative value opportunities across options and related derivatives.
- Monitor market conditions and adjust positions dynamically.
Collaboration with Quant & Research Teams
- Work closely with quantitative researchers and developers to analyze trading results.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of models and trading strategies.
- Use data-driven insights to refine trading approaches.
Ownership & Execution
- Take responsibility for strategy performance and risk management.
- Demonstrate initiative in identifying new opportunities and improving existing strategies.
- Drive strategies forward with a strong sense of ownership.
Strategic Contribution
- Contribute to the firm’s goal of expanding its global options trading presence.
- Support the development of scalable trading strategies in derivatives markets.
Professional Experience
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5+ years of experience as a trader at a proprietary trading firm or market-making firm.
- Proven experience managing your own trading book and generating consistent PnL.
Market Knowledge
- Strong understanding of options markets and derivatives trading.
- Experience trading Indian options markets (e.g., index or equity options) is advantageous.
Technical Skills
- Programming knowledge preferred in one or more of the following:
- Python
- C / C++
- Java
- Matlab
- SQL
Analytical Ability
- Strong numerical, statistical, and analytical skills.
- Ability to interpret complex data and make fast trading decisions.
Personal Attributes

- Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced trading environment.
Preferred Background
- Experience in volatility trading, relative value strategies, or market making.
