The candidate should have proven hands on experience in deploying multiple VMware Products & solutions to a variety of technology and business clients.
Must have a blend of technical knowledge, business knowledge (Pre-Sales) and effective communication skills for this role.
The role will be expected to work in a positive and collaborative fashion with fellow team members, senior engineering/architect staff, vendors, and customers
Technical Skills Required (Must Have)
- 5+ years of hands-on working experience, should have done real time deployments, day to day operations and support of.
- VMware vSphere , vSphere replication , vCenter , Horizon , vSAN , SRM
- VMware Cloud Foundation, vRealize Automation, vRealize Operations NSX-T , Carbon Black etc.
- Experience in migrating customer applications / workloads from existing Physical / Virtual Infrastructure to VMware Infrastructure
- Should be an expert in RCA (Root cause Analysis) & advanced level troubleshooting of VMware vSphere , vSphere replication , vCenter , Horizon , vSAN , SRM , vRealize Automation , vRealize Operations , NSX-T , Carbon Black etc.
- Should have knowledge of kubernetes technologies along with the basic knowledge of physical networking apart from virtual networks.
Technical Skills required (Optional, having them could be an added advantage):
- 3+ Years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Windows Server operating system, Linux operating system & other hypervisors (Hyper-V, KVM, AHV etc.)
- 3+ Years of good exposure and mixed working experience on Storage (IBM, Dell EMC, NetApp etc.), Compute (Lenovo/IBM /HP/Dell Servers etc.) and Backup domains (Veritas, Commvault , ArcServe, Veeam etc.)
VCP (VMware Certified Professional)
- Data centre & Storage virtualization (vSphere replication / SRM + vSAN)
- Desktop & Mobility (Horizon/VDI)
- Network Virtualization (NSX-T)
- Cloud Management & Automation (VMware Cloud Foundation , vRealize Operations & vRealize Automation)
Note: – Must & should have at least 2 (if not 4) of the above mentioned certifications:
Additional Skills
- Should be able to Architect and Design Complex Virtualized environments depending on the ask & pain areas of the customers
- Demonstrate technical leadership in understanding Datacenter practices and application workloads
- Excellent customer service skills with strong focus on customer satisfaction
- Must be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule that may include nights, weekends or holidays as required
- Must be process and detail oriented with the ability to multitask Strong critical thinking and troubleshooting skills with the ability to determine problems and act without supervision
- Must be self-motivated and eager to learn new technologies and skills to better assist customers.
- should able to showcase or conduct Product POCs (Proof of Concept) to colleagues & customers
- Should be able to collaborate extensively with peers in other infrastructure disciplines in developing designs, implementation plans and support strategies.
- Must be good in documenting the system configuration & project deployments done.
- This experience should include the planning, deployment, configuration and administration of heterogeneous virtual environment/s.
- Should be comfortable and good at articulating technology to the customers.
- Experience in going through the RFPs/ RFQs & should be identify the gaps; prepare the compliances & architect the solutions accordingly
- Keeping in touch with latest product releases, advancements and communicate the same to customers and internal teams also.
- Presentation at large gatherings during customer events; Conduct webinars & even evangelize the value of products and solutions within internal teams & customers also.
