Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with VMware vSphere (ESXi, vCenter).
- Experience with VMware HA, DRS, vMotion, Storage vMotion.
- Working knowledge of Windows Server and Linux environments.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, VLANs).
- Experience with enterprise storage platforms.
- Troubleshooting skills across compute, network, and storage layers.
Tools & Technologies (Preferred)
- VMware vSAN
- VMware NSX (basic to advanced)
- VMware Horizon / VDI
- PowerCLI / PowerShell
- Backup solutions (Veeam, Commvault, NetBackup)
- Monitoring tools (vRealize, SolarWinds, Nagios)
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- VMware Certification preferred:
- VCP-DCV
- VCAP (optional / advanced roles)
- ITIL certification is a plus.
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in high-availability, regulated environments.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
Nice to Have
- Experience with hybrid cloud (Azure VMware Solution, AWS VMware Cloud).
- Exposure to container platforms (Kubernetes, Tanzu).
- BFSI or large enterprise infrastructure experience.
