Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a VMC (Vertical Machining Center), HMC (Horizontal Machining Center), and VTL (Vertical Turret Lathe) Operator, located in the Greater Coimbatore Area. The role involves programming, setting up, and operating VMCs, HMCs, and VTLs to produce precision components. Responsibilities include reading and interpreting blueprints or technical drawings, conducting quality checks on machined parts, performing machine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Collaboration with other team members to improve processes and efficiencies is also part of the role.
Qualifications
- Proficient in operating VMC, HMC, and VTL machines, with solid knowledge of machine programming and setup.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD designs.
- Skilled in quality control and inspection techniques, including the use of measurement tools like vernier calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues, and perform regular machine maintenance to ensure optimal functionality.
- Familiarity with safety standards and practices in a manufacturing environment.
- Critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in machining tasks.
- Experience in precision machining and knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 standards is a plus.
- Diploma or certification in Mechanical Engineering, Machining, or a related field is preferred.
