Manufacturing Engineer Intern

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Responsible for 1) essential project related to Manufacturing Engineering.
• Daily activities/tasks:

• Assist manufacturing engineers with equipment projects
• Assist manufacturing engineers with line layout improvements.
• Assist with time studies to be utilized in assembly line balancing
• Learn and use tools like: FlexSim and AutoCad 
• Develop or modify procedures and work instructions for various operations processes
• Complete improvement activities focused on reducing waste

The ideal candidate will also possess:

• Expertise around Vitamix competencies: Conscientiousness, Customer Focus, Team Orientation, Drive for Results
• Proficient in MS Office
• Familiarity with AutoCAD is a plus
• Possesses and displays excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to convey information in a clear, focused and concise manner
• Demonstrated ability to interface and maintain effective relationships with all levels of employees in a team-oriented environment.
• High level of professionalism and maturity.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks on time and to required specifications in a high-pressure environment.
• Junior or Senior Student pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
